Pauli's was Voted "BEST RESTAURANT OVERALL" in the recent 2008 Valley Planet Reader's Poll. We are also proud to say we also took First Place in the "Best Chef(Mathew Martin)", "Best Service", "Best Desserts" and "Best First Date" categories.

When all the votes were finally in, Pauli's also took Second Place for "Best Fine Dining", "Best Steak", "Best Seafood", "Best Place for a Glass of Wine," "Best Place for a Martini," and "Most Romantic."

Pauli's started out as a small 45 seat restaurant, within the year we had to expand due to overwhelming response to our consistently great food and service. We opened March 19, 1998 with 35 seats in the dining room and 10 seats at the bar. We are have expanded of the last 9 years to seat 125 in the dining room and 24 in the bar area.

Located at the corner of Slaughter Road and University Dive/72 West. We are just 3 miles west of Cummings Research Park.

We recommend making a reservation, but do not require a reservation. If you are looking for an enjoyable dining experience, please stop by and we'll get you seated as soon as possible. We do honor all reservations before walk-ins however, so if you know your coming go ahead and make a reservation.

Pauli's applied for and received a AAA rating in 2005. We received a "3 Diamond" rating. This is a prestigious award indeed. At the time, there were only two restaurants in the state that rated higher. So, according to AAA, Pauli's is tied for second best restaurant in the state of Alabama. We are the best restaurant in North Alabama, according to AAA ratings, no other restaurant rates higher in North Alabama.

Pauli's has maintained an Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator Since 2000. This prestigious award is difficult to obtain and keep for any length of time. The restaurant must be dedicated to the wine program, which Pauli's is and has been since we opened. Pauli's offers 50 plus wines by the glass. In order to keep these wines as fresh as the day they were opened, Pauli's has invested in an Argon System. The Argon System is an inert gas, which is heavier than Oxygen and Nitrogen. Argon settles to the area right above the wine, which keeps oxidation from occurring. Oxidation is what breaks wine down and makes it go "Bad."
